EU Commission changes rules for ship supply

References to ship and aircraft supply are removed from "Security Amendment" Annex

The EU Commission has amended Annex 30A of the Implmenting provisions of the Customs Code, deleating references to ship- and aircraft supply.

The EU Commission has amended the Customs Code Implementing provisions and ship supply is specifically mentioned.

A previous amendement of the Customs Code removed the obligation to provide an exit summary declaration for goods which are supplied for incorporation as parts of or accessories in vessels and aircraft, motor fuels, lubricants and gas necessary for the operation of vessels or aircraft, foodstuffs, and other items to be consumed or sold on board.

Since shipsupply is considered an export for which an export declaration is required, ship suppliers will not issue Exit Summary Declarations.

As a consequence, the EU Commission has now changed Annex 30a and deleted the references to ship and aircraft supply in the exit summary declaration.
